Saturday. 1st April [1882]. Alice had to go back to Roehampton. I was not very well & did not go out all day– Henry went to dine with Mr Howard Vincent to meet the Prince of Wales quite a small dinner Leighton & also dined; several men went there in the eveng. Henry says the Prince was very agreeable & the party without restraint the conversation was general. | |
