9 April 1882 — Inwood, Henstridge, Somerset | |
Sunday. 9th April 1882. Easter Sunday. I sat a long time with Dr Wiblin in the little study while he smoked and we talked over many things. I then went up to the boudoir & read the Psalms & Lessons to Lady Westr. Afterwards went & sat with Merthyr & Theo in the Microscope Room till lunch time. After lunch wrote letters & sat in boudoir on sofa till dinner– We had prayers in eveng in gallery & the servants sang the evening hymn led by Merthyr. | |
