11 April 1882 — Inwood, Henstridge, Somerset | |
Tuesday. 11th April [1882]. I woke with a headache & so remained in bed till near lunch time reading & working. I then dressed and went to the boudoir where I laid on the sofa & had short commons. Lady Westr sat there also. The Du Cane family went to the meet in the morning & the twins brought home the brush to their delight. After tea the Squire & I played cribbage till nearly dinner time. Maria & I played cribbage in the eveng while Lady Westr, Merthyr, Henry & the Squire played whist. | |
