23 July 1882 — Syltebo, Romsdalsfjord | |
Sunday. 23rd July [1882]. We breakfasted a little late this morng after our disturbed night. Wrote letters for the post– Painted. Dined at 4. Went to cast at the bank with Monty & Bertie. When Henry came to Lower Gredhus he got out of the boat & let me fish down. I hooked 3 trout but they all got off & I came home to supper disgusted. The post came in & brought further news of the sacking of Alexandria & the resignation of Bright. | |
