Visit from the Miss Halle’s who are staying here that one of the sisters might study painting. At 4 Adl Hoskins & Mr Milne his Flag Lieut. called & explained that they were starting for England tonight & must give up coming to stay with us. The Adl is very young looking & has a very nice face. He told us a great deal that was interesting abt the war in Egypt & said Arabi P. was a man of great attraction to those abt him & was more regarded in his country than was known in England. Olga came & brought her little Valentine to tea. Later Idita came & she & I practised the guitar together. Reading. At dinner time I had fever & cd not eat & went to bed directly dinner was over feeling very uncomfortable. | |
