17 March 1883 — 3 Savile Row
Saturday. 17th March [1883]. Did not go out in morning but retrimmed a bonnet for Maria. Miss Lowe the Editress of the “Queen” came to see us abt Venetian glass on wh she is going to notice in her paper. Lady Gregory & her baby walked in to bid us adieu before our departure from town. We lunched at 1 & then went off by the 2.15 train for Inwood to stay with Merthyr & Theo, we got there abt 6. Found them all well & Lady Westr middling. We dined at 7.30. There was whist in evening.
