19 March 1883 — Inwood, Henstridge, Somerset
Monday. 19th [March 1883]. Theo informed me that I must not sit in the study as Lady Westr wished to be alone so I installed myself in the drawing room Henry being in the Library. There I went on with the painting of my fan. Merthyr & Theo went hunting. Henry & I lunched with Lady Westr & then he & I walked in the garden & found it bitterly cold in the wind. Dined at 7.30. Whist—whilst I played the piano—found some old pieces of music of Lady Westr’s & played them to her delight.
