7 May 1883 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 7th May [1883]. The Cook came & I agreed with her & she declined Fragiacomo’s help for tomorrow. Morelli went to breakfast at 8 with the Pss– I went out at 11 to see Css Brandolin & to invite her & her husband to dine with us tomorrow which they promised to do. Morelli came home to lunch with us & then went out with the Princes & dined with them. Directly after lunch I went to see Tea Marcello to ask her when she expected her mother as from a mistake in her answer to my telegram it was not quite clear. We went also to the Stabto & home to tea. Css Brandolin & the Hurtados came to T & Morelli came in also before going off to dinner. We dined quietly at home & went after to walk on the Piazza. We met there Mr Malcolm & walked with him till we met the C. Prince & Pss & then we walked up & down with them till nearly 10 when they walked home & we went home taking Morelli with us. The C. Pss told me she wd paint me a picture when she returned home & asked me what I would like. | |
