5 September 1883 — La Punta, Longarone | |
Wednesday. 5th September [1883]. Quiet day & no expeditions as it was cold & rainy. We amused ourselves by going out to see the rafts come thro the weir & watching the timber floating down & the girls carrying stones on their backs for the breakwater wh is being built. We got a telegram from the Rates saying they would be here Friday. In the evening we played a 4 game of dominoes. | |
