10 September 1883 — La Punta, Longarone | |
Monday. 10th [September 1883]. We started at 9 to drive to Vittorio—Mrs Rate & Margie & I in the carriage—Henry & Mr Rate in the break. Lovely drive & reached Vittorio at 12.15. Went to Hotel Vittorio & there we lunched out in the garden wh was very pleasant. We left by 2.15 train for Venice. It was pleasant & no great heat. Got home abt 6. Dined at 7. Mr Malcolm dined with us. Henry, Mr Rate & Margie went out in gondola. Alice Rate, Mr Malcolm & I sat talking & then went to bed early. | |
