2 November 1883 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Friday. 2nd [November 1883]. Had first Italian lesson of Miss Holas. Worked the sewing machine. Went out with Henry after lunch to Murano to the Vetreria & then to the Venezia & Murano works. Had tea in the studio. Mrs Bronson & Mr Browning came to see us. Dined 7.30. Cribbage, écarté. Mr Horatio Brown came this morning with a fine vine plant in his sandalo as a present for me. It is in a tub & we put it at the entrance door. | |
