2 January 1884 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Wednesday. 2nd January [1884]. Splendid weather. Worked at bust but Olga did not come. Went out in gondola with Henry at 3 when Henry returned to fetch me & we took a walk on the Zattere. Mrs Brown came to tea & Emily R. & she stayed to dine. Mr Malcolm also dined with us & Emily & I made him cigarettes 100 in the evening. | |
