13 January 1884 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 13th [January 1884]. We are still having splendid weather & the tides very low– After lunch Henry & I went out. I left him to walk on the Piazza & I went to sit with Carry Eden until he called again for me & we went home to tea. Mr & Mrs Bruce, their son & daughter, Mr Malcolm & Emily R came to dinner & stayed so late that we cd not go to Andriana’s in the evening. | |
