Wednesday. 2nd [July 1884]. Very oppressive day scirocco. I read aloud to Alice in the morning. Mme de Gorsfield came to see me. Later Mme Valmarana came & Ersilia & we had tea in the studio. After dinner we went to the Giardinetto & had ices & heard music. | |
