10 July 1884 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 10th [July 1884]. Scirocco terrible. I had a headache & felt very unwell– Abt 10 Cortelazzo arrived to stay with us. I had to retire to my room & remain there the rest of the day entirely exhausted. At 5 I began to revive. Ersilia & Maria came to see me. I got up & went down at dinner time but I had to retire again directly after dinner & go to bed. | |
