31 July 1884 — La Punta, Longarone | |
Thursday. 31st [July 1884]. Breakfast in our room at 7.30. At 8 old Luigi & Mr Malcolm’s cook arrived bringing letters & papers from Venice. I wrote letters till 11. Dressed & lunched at 12. Painted the mallows I had found yesterday. Tea at 4. Went for a little walk with Henry. There was a storm down the valley so we did not like to venture far. Sat on the terrace & painted more flowers. The storm passed away. Dined at 7.30. Cribbage; bed. | |
