5 August 1884 — La Punta, Longarone | |
Tuesday. 5th [August 1884]. Same as usual. Abt 6 Henry & I went for a walk, crossed the stream & took a walk down to the little bridge over the gorge leading up to Cimolais. On the way I found a good many pretty wild flowers. It was hot & sultry & a storm threatened but did not come– Dined 7.30. Sat out while Henry smoked. Read Lecky aloud to Henry. Played cribbage. | |
