17 September 1884 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Wednesday. 17th [September 1884]. Cini came again but I was better. Mrs Eden came before I got up & also Mrs West and the latter sat some time with me talking. Henry went out to see pictures. I got up in time for luncheon. Wrote to Ersilia. At 4 went out in gondola with Henry to the Edens’ garden & stayed there till past 6. Home. Copied M.S. Dined at 7.30; took a turn in gondola in eveng & came home early, played cribbage. | |
