25 October 1884 — Castagnolo | |
Saturday. 25th [October 1884]. Henry & Mrs Ross went in to Florence. I stayed at home & made out the pattern of a piece of old work Mrs Ross has that I am going to copy. The Marchese della Stufa who was at home helped me & we spent all the morning over it. At abt 4 Henry & Mrs Ross returned. After tea I read aloud to Henry. The Marchese went away to town & did not return to dinner. | |
