8 November 1884 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 8th [November 1884]. We left by 9.40 train for Milan. We met of the station the Prefect Mussi & his wife who were going to Brescia & the Cardinal Patriarch going to Vicenza. At Vicenza Cortelazzo met us & we had a few minutes talk to him. We got to Milan soon after 3 & went to Hotel Cavour. Had tea & then went round to 45 Via Manzoni to see Mme d’Adda whom we found alone her husband being away we promised to return in the eveng & we went to the Hotel where Morelli soon joined us & he stayed & dined with us at 7. After dinner we walked round to Mme d’Addas. We found there her brother D. Alberto Falco & we remained chatting until 10.30. | |
