9 November 1884 — Milan | |
Sunday. 9th November [1884]. We left Milan by 9.50 train for Paris via Turin & Modane. At Turin we had some little while to wait for the Brindisi train & from there to Modane we were in a sleeping car. Dined at Modane & there on account of cholera & infection we had to change as the carriages do not go thro’ to Paris. We had a most luxurious salon coupé & slept very well. | |
