Wednesday. 25th [February 1885]. Wrote, did accounts &c in the morng. Maria & Alice came in abt 12 & went out again & returned to luncheon & afterwards we went out together. Henry & I dined with the Rates—& met Mr & Miss Beaumont, 2 Miss Taits & Mr & Mrs Willy Bruce, Lord Aberdare’s son. We went afterwards to a party at the Turkish Embassy where we saw a great many friends & acquaintances. | |
