28 March 1885 — 1 Queen Anne Street
Saturday. 28th [March 1885]. Went out shopping for an hour & home by 12. Mrs Austin (Temmy) came to lunch & also Mildred Guest. It was the first Temmy had been able to come up to see our new house as she is very feeble after her paralytic stroke. At 3.30 we all went to St Paul’s church in Gt Portland Street to see Blanche’s baby christening. He was christened Bertie Brabazon—Mama being one godmother. Afterwards Temmy drove back to her home at Putney—we all went to tea at No 15 where there was a festive tea more especially for the small children. Blanche, Edward, Alice Du Cane, Arthur Guest & Mr Hallam Murray & Annie Murray dined with us. I took Alice to Mrs Jeunes party & on to Cornelias party.
