Wednesday. 1st April [1885]. Walked out with Maria to shop. It was bright & hot in the sun. Maria & Alice lunched with us at 1 & Henry & I went off by 2.15 train for Inwood. Only Merthyr, Theo & Lady Westr & Maria’s twins there. Mr & Mrs Digby Collins dined there. | |
