15 April 1885 — Canford Manor, nr. Wimborne, Dorset | |
Wednesday. 15th April [1885]. We left Bourne by 10.30 train & got to London abt 2.15—& went to our house No. 1 Queen Anne Street. Had a cup of coffee & then went off to Langham House to see Mamma—&c to do some shopping & then returned to Mamma & went in a cab with her to Watts studio. Henry dined at the Inaugural Dinner of the Huguenot society where he was elected their first President. I dined at Langham House– Maria & Alice were there & Arthur & Louis Du Cane– They are changing their abode from Exeter Hse Roehampton to 25 Pk Crescent. Arthur DC is staying with us. Maria, Rd & Alice with Mamma & the rest of the family scattered. Henry came & fetched me home. | |
