16 April 1885 — 1 Queen Anne Street | |
Thursday. 16th April [1885]. Henry went to lunch at Hamilton house. Sir Wm Gregory came abt 12 to look for Henry but not finding him at home I undertook to find him & ask him to be at the Club at 4. So directly after lunch Arthur Du Cane & I drove to Ham. Hse but Henry had gone– We went to the Nat. Gallery & there found him & sent on our message. Went on to various shops & came home soon after 5. I went after tea to see Mama & on coming home met Edward Ponsonby at the door—& we begged him to come & dine here to meet Sir Wm Gregory wh he did & played billiards after dinner with Henry. | |
