6 May 1885 — En route to Milan | |
Wednesday. 6th [May 1885]. ] we reached Bale—& having an hour there washed & breakfasted. We had 4 servants—Luigi, Gigia, an English cook & a boy. We got to Milan abt 7 in the eveng & found Mr Clark & his daughter Blanche at the Hotel Cavour—dined & went early to bed. | |
