1 June 1885 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 1st June [1885]. Read from 7 till 9. Breakfast 9.30. Copied for Henry till 12 when Mr Vigor came & we painted till lunch. At 2.30 Anna came to sit till 5. A burrasca came up & the weather was threatening & it rained & thundered but still as it cleared at 6 we went out for ½ hour till it came on to pelt & we went home. However the air became cooler & more pleasant. Dined at 7. Played harmonium to Henry for a little while. At 9 he went to the Edens & I went to read till bed time. | |
