6 June 1885 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 6th June [1885]. Painted in the afternoon & we went out after 5 in gondola. Left Henry & the General at the Piazzetta to walk home & Lady Dickson & I went to leave cards. We wanted to call on Lady Colthurst but could not remember her address so we went across to Mrs Eden’s garden to ask her & she told me Lady C. was at Barbiers lodgings so we went there & I found her in & paid her a visit while Lady D. waited for me in gondola. Got home a little late for 7 o’cl dinner. | |
