4 June 1885 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Thursday. 4th June [1885]. Read before breakfast. Copied. Letter fm the Dicksons to say they would arrive in Venice at 2.40. Painted Henry till lunch. Dr Cini came to see the cook who was better & got up after lunch. Henry went to meet the Dicksons who arrived abt 3 & had some lunch. Mr Vigor & I painted in the yard till 5 when Henry took the Dicksons & him out to see the Corpus Domini procession at the Tolentini & we dined at 7.30. In the evening Mme Hurtado, Idita, Olga Mocenigo & Mr Vigor came to tea & stayed till 11.30.
