22 June 1885 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 22nd [June 1885]. The morning was fine & the air very much cooled by last night’s storm– In the afternoon the wind came up again & it was blowing quite hard when we went as far as the Casa [illegible word] to call on the Eatons. Mrs E. was out but w e saw two daughters. In the eveng it calmed down & we went to Css Valmarana’s where Henry played whist. | |
