5 August 1885 — La Punta, Longarone | |
Wednesday. 5th August [1885]. Sir John started at 7 to return to Rome. Henry & I started off in a carriage with Annie our cook for Cortina. Mr Malcolm provided us with a basket of provisions so we did not stop & got there abt 5. We found the Hotel full but Ghedina lodged us in a private house & we went to dine at the Hotel. There was a great thunderstorm before dinner & heavy rain. | |
