2 September 1885 — Brieg | |
Wednesday. 2nd September [1885]. We left Brieg at 7 A.M. & had a splendid day to drive over the Simplon. The view over the Bernese Oberland was splendid every peak being most distinct. From Berisal we walked a good bit. Got to Sempione abt 12.30 & lunched there & then at 1.30 started again. At Isella we passed the Italian frontier & arrived at Domo Dossola at 6. Took a walk in the town– Dined at 7.30. Cribbage. | |
