12 December 1885 — 1 Queen Anne Street | |
Saturday. 12th December 1885. Alice came to breakfast with us at 9 & then she went to No 15 to see Blanche where I fetched her later & I took her to Cecile’s to try on her wedding dress for the last time. We stayed there about 2 hours & then went up to 25 Park Crescent where we found Annie Murray had taken Hallam’s wedding presents to put with Alice & they were being arranged & put out. I left Alice there & walked home with Dacre who arrived from Paris this morning. Alice, Annie & Hallam came to luncheon with us. Henry walked to his club & I fetched him and we drove to see Lady Tavistock & had tea with her & Miss Rachel Gurney. We dined with Monty at 3 Savile Row & met Alice & Blanche & Edward, Mama, Mrs Hambro, Kate (who is staying there) with Eda, my brother Arthur, & Hallam Murray. | |
