14 December 1885 — 1 Queen Anne Street | |
Monday. 14th December [1885]. Mrs Eden came to see me in the morning. Mrs Austin arrived at 3 to stay here for Alice’s wedding tomorrow. I settled her up in her room & then drove off to Pk Crescent & took Maria out driving. We did some shopping & returned home to Pk Crescent to 5 o’cl tea– Alice was not returned from the dentist’s so I went off to fetch her– Dacre brought me home abt 6. Mrs Austin came down to dinner & altho’ very feeble we got her up & down stairs. At ¼ to 10 Henry & I walked up to Pk Crescent to see if we cd be of any use. I went up to Alice’s room & helped her to pack some of her things & left all in readiness for her wedding which takes place tomorrow. It was just 12 when Henry & I walked home. | |
