Monday. 12th April [1886]. Heard of Lady Monkswell’s death– She will be a terrible loss to her family. Went off to Pad. Station to take the 11.40 train for Llantrisant. We got there abt 6 & were met at the station by Mr G. T. Clark’s carriage to Taly Garn. Found him & his daughter Blanche & his son & daughter in law Mr & Mrs Godfrey Clark—Lord Cawdor & his daughter Lady Evelyn Campbell were expected but there was a telegram to say that owing to an accident they wd not arrive till tomorrow. | |
