24 April 1886 — Inwood, Henstridge, Somerset
Saturday. 24th [April 1886]. Easter Eve. Very warm day. Theo did not appear as she had a cold. Merthyr went hunting. I sat by open window in boudoir with Maria working while she read aloud Tennysons last poems to me till lunch. Sat in the garden reading letters of Mme de Maintenon & Mme des Ursins till teatime. Monty arrived to dinner & Dr Wiblin.
