19 July 1886 — Syltebo, Romsdalsfjord | |
Monday. 19th [July 1886]. I went to Friswold & down as far as Fagerslet, trout jumped there 12 times. It was so hot & bright I came home at 2. Rested– Fred & Edgar went to Lake. Dined 6.30. At 9 Henry went to Friswold. At 7.30 I went to Bridge 0. At 10.18 I went with Andreas to Syltebos Rest & killed salmon 14½ lbs. At Lr Gredhus hooked & lost a trout. Lower down killed salmon 15 lbs. which took me some time. It was 12.30. I was tired & came home. Found F. & E. back from Lake & bad sport. I persuaded Fred to go to fish Lr Gredhus pool. He went & got 2 salmon 18 lbs. & 15 lbs. & a trout. Henry got nothing. | |
