20 July 1886 — Syltebo, Romsdalsfjord | |
Tuesday. 20th [July 1886]. Carved all day. Dined 6.30. Edgar & I went to Fjord with Marquis. Calm & hot & still evening. It came on to blow. We got 15 fish pollack, haddock & trout– Had to hurry home at 10. it came on to rain. Fred had gone to Friswold. Henry went to Syltebos Rest. & down. I got big fish in Kjespool & lost it. Henry saw no salmon & got 2 trout. Very dark night. We had candles to go to bed– Wind subsided but heavy rain. | |
