18 August 1886 — Syltebo, Romsdalsfjord
Wednesday. 18th August [1886]. I set to work to paint Henry’s big trout, which took me all the morning. Fished the Gredhus pools in afternoon nothing. Dined at 4 & Mr Randers dined with us. Today reindeer was brought down to be sold & we bought a bit that Henry & I might taste it. I walked up to Friswold with Susan Hambro & Miss Wade Brown & fished down from Terpool to Poolen without having a single rise. When I came in they were just going to supper but I went straight to bed with a headache.
