24 October 1886 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 24th [October 1886]. Was a lovely day but I was not yet well eno’ to venture to church. Henry took Katie & Isabel to the Lido after luncheon & Mrs Burr fetched me in her gondola & took me for an airing & on to the Edens’ garden & it was a splendid day tho it had turned cold by the time we got home. On the way home we met Henry & porter. I transferred myself from Mrs Burrs to our own gondola. We brought Isabel with us & Mrs B joined her at dinner time. | |
