6 November 1886 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 6th [November 1886]. I went at 10.30 to the Gallery & began a copy of Mantegna’s St Giorgio. Henry fetched me away at lunch time. Morelli left us at 1 & went to Bologna– It was a wet afternoon I did not go out again. Practised guitar & wrote letters. Lord Bagot had a bad cold & remained in bed all day. Quiet evening; played plait patience. | |
