16 November 1886 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Tuesday. 16th [November 1886]. The Bagots left us by 9 train for Milan. I finished Henry’s copying & then went to paint at the Gallery until 1. We lunched & dined upstairs in the library being only 3 of us. After lunch we went out & walked on the Piazza. There we met Mrs Bronson & we walked to Morchio’s but bought nothing. Henry took Mrs Ross to the Stabto & I walked with Mrs Bronson to her house & we had tea there. Mr Pen Browning was there & played the piano charmingly. At 4.30 Mrs Bronson, Edith & I went off to Mrs Brown’s tea party where there was everybody. Henry met me there & brought me home. Practised guitar. Patience.
