9 December 1886 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 9th [December 1886]. I went to Mrs Bronson to tea & Edith & I played guitar accompaniments to Mr Browning’s mandolin. Henry went to play whist at the Canevaros. I went to the Roman theatre to Mrs Bronson’s box to hear the celebrated girl “Teresa Tua” play the violin. She is a pretty, graceful young thing & plays very well. I went to join Henry at the Canevaros later. | |
