6 December 1886 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 6th December [1886]. Edith came & we had guitar lesson & she stayed to lunch. Henry took the gondola to go to Murano so Edith & I walked. We went to buy me a muff & then on to the Piazza where we bought guitar music & then retraced our steps to walk to Mme Hurtado’s. In the Campo St Angelo we met Olga Mocenigo & Idita & so made them come with us & walked to my home round by the Rialto & they came in & sat with me a little while. Tea alone. Dinner at ¼ to 7 & at 8 Henry & I went to the Malibran to see the Cloches de Corneville– Home at 11. Tea in studio. | |
