20 January 1887 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 20th January [1887]. Woke abt 11 & had tea. Got up to lunch at 1. Went out in gondola with Henry taking Emily who came to see me, left her to pay a visit & we went to see Mme de Hurtado & found there Olga Mocenigo & Carry Eden. We talked over the ball wh they all were pleased to praise. Came home to tea. Went to bed early after playing patience. | |
