11 March 1887 — 1 Queen Anne Street
Friday. 11th March [1887]. Wrote letters in morning. At 11.30 had guitar lesson from Signor Sacchi. Henry went to the Levée. Arthur came in after lunch. Said he had an invitation to dine at Hamilton House & I persuaded him to accept it & to take for granted that Cornelia would do the right thing by him. I walked round to Langham House & saw Mama & then was joined by Henry & we drove thence to leave cards & pay visits. I found Lady St Germans at home & sat a bit with her. Home to tea– Later Blanche & Maria came in & said Arthur & Ivor had met & had a fresh discussion wh had probably put all the fat in the fire again. Dined at home & after dinner wrote letters.
