18 April 1887 — En route to Milan | |
Monday. 18th [April 1887]. Got to Bâle at 6 in morning & refreshed ourselves with breakfast & a wash. At 7 went on. Lunched at Goschenen & got to Milan at 7.25, went to Hotel Cavour. Morelli met us there. He & M. d’Adda came while we were at dinner & the latter stayed on talking. | |
