27 April 1887 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Wednesday. 27th [April 1887]. Translation in morning. After lunch Henry took the girls to Murano to see the glass blowing. Carry Eden happening to come & call just after lunch. She took me out with her in her gondola. She did some shopping & then took me to the garden where we had tea. Henry came & fetched me away by dinner time & Countess Pisani came to dine with us. She tried to persuade us to decorate our gondola for the arrival of the K & Q. | |
