23 May 1887 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 23rd [May 1887]. Got up at 7 & till breakfast time worked with Henry at correcting the index of his edition of Kugler for the press. I was so chilled I had to go back to bed & have hot water bottle till lunch. After lunch had a visit from Princess Dolgorouky & Ersilia Canevaro & did not go out. Worked at the index for an hour before dinner. | |
